T-ALL has successfully completed end-of-warranty inspections covering the major components of 30 wind turbines for a new energy company in Hebei Province. As a critical step in wind asset handover, quality responsibility determination, and subsequent safe and stable operation, the project focused on full-lifecycle health management of wind power assets.
The inspection covered key components including tower welds, high-strength bolts, yaw bearings, pitch bearings, gearboxes, and rotors. By integrating wall-climbing robots, phased-array ultrasonic testing, time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD), drones, and industrial borescopes, T-ALL established a multi-level inspection system spanning the air, tower, nacelle, and tower base. This approach combined visual inspection, precision flaw detection, internal visual examination, and intelligent data analysis.
Faced with a wide range of component types, challenging work at height and in confined spaces, and limited turbine shutdown windows, T-ALL combined advanced technology with standardized operating procedures. All defects were characterized, measured, located, and classified in accordance with established inspection procedures, ensuring traceable data and verifiable conclusions.
During the inspection:
》Wall-climbing robots scanned the tower welds. TOFD images clearly displayed diffraction signals from internal defects, enabling accurate location and classification. Four defects exceeding acceptance criteria were identified.
》Phased-array ultrasonic testing was used to inspect high-strength bolts individually inside the nacelles. One fractured bolt was identified despite the restricted working space.
》Industrial borescopes provided internal visual examination of the main bearings. Pitting defects were identified in the main bearings of eight turbines.
》Drones conducted aerial blade inspections and lightning protection continuity tests. Defects were identified on ten blades, while the continuity of the lightning protection paths was also verified.
The successful completion of this end-of-warranty inspection project further demonstrated T-ALL’s technical expertise, project execution capabilities, and on-site safety management in wind power inspection and intelligent operations and maintenance. The inspection results provide a reliable basis for equipment handover, quality acceptance, and subsequent precision maintenance by the asset owner.

Looking ahead, T-ALL will continue to focus on full-lifecycle health management for wind power assets and deepen the integration of intelligent inspection equipment, digital platforms, and intelligent diagnostic technologies. By developing scalable and replicable solutions for major-component inspection and intelligent operations and maintenance, T-ALL aims to support safer, more efficient, and more precise wind farm operations and contribute to the secure and efficient management of renewable energy assets.
