Recently, Longyuan Power Engineering and Technology Company completed the on-site actual measurement of the in-situ detection technology for the external insulation state of power transmission and transformation equipment in the Zhejiang Jiangxia Chaoguang Power Station, which filled the gap in the field of quantitative detection of the external insulation of power transmission and transformation equipment in the domestic new energy industry.

The poor external insulation performance of new energy stations can directly lead to equipment failure and cause the risk of power outage. In view of the problem that the traditional performance detection method requires manual sampling after power outage and cannot be detected online in real time, the company relies on the scientific and technological project of "Research and Equipment Development on the Key Technology of In-Situ Detection of the Operating State of Power Transmission and Transformation Equipment in New Energy Stations", and creates the laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy technology (LIBS) in the industry for the first time, focusing the high-power pulse laser to the surface of the sample to be tested, exciting microgram-level plasma, and realizing the evaluation of the external insulation state by measuring the specific wavelength atomic emission spectral lines radiated by it.

During the actual measurement process, the technical team conducted a comprehensive and accurate detection and evaluation of the external insulation states of various equipment such as overhead lines, main transformer bushings, and cable supports under the condition of the live line through precision instrument equipment and scientific detection step arrangements. The actual measurement data highly coincide with the laboratory data, providing valuable basis for the application and promotion of this technology in the industry.

Compared with the traditional manual sampling detection method, this technology can timely discover potential insulation hazards, have higher real-time performance and portability, break through the problem barriers such as difficult sampling and insufficient efficiency in the external insulation detection of traditional power transmission and transformation equipment, greatly improve the efficiency of insulation detection work, save operation and maintenance costs, and is expected to become a new generation of standardized products for the external insulation detection of power transmission and transformation equipment and help the high-quality development of the industry.
