Penetrant Testing (PT)
Penetrant Testing (PT) is a non - destructive testing that employs capillary action to make the penetrant infiltrate into surface - opening defects of materials. After cleaning and imaging, visible traces (fluorescent/color - developing) seep out from the defects.

Application Range

Components made of non - ferromagnetic materials, such as austenitic stainless steel pipelines, LNG valve sealing surfaces, and titanium alloy compressor blades.
Complex structural parts and enclosed spaces, such as flange sealing grooves, the roots of threaded joints, and pump body casting cavities.
Rapid screening of in - service equipment, such as emergency valve maintenance and structural welds on offshore platforms.
Applications under special working conditions, such as low - temperature storage tanks (-196℃), high - temperature desert equipment (above 50℃), and underwater structures.

Technical Features

  • Eddy Current Testing (ECT) is a "high-speed probe" for detecting surface defects and inspecting conductive materials in the oil and gas industry.
