Intelligent Cathodic Protection
The intelligent cathodic protection (CP) system is an IoT-based remote wireless monitoring system designed for the cathodic protection field. It enables wireless control and measurement of rectifiers and pipeline potential parameters. Using an electronic map and dedicated CP management platform software, all CP data along pipelines can be monitored in real time. The system’s auxiliary analysis tools allow for evaluation and analysis of CP status and faults.

Application Scope

Applicable to all in-service oil and gas transmission pipelines
Applicable to oil and gas gathering and transportation stations, storage and transfer stations, booster stations, CP stations, and other types of facilities

Technical Features

  • Intelligent CP Management Platform:
    1.Accurate, complete, and timely collection of CP data along the entire pipeline
    2. Remote control of rectifier parameters
    3.Centralized management of cathodic protection4. Data aggregation and auxiliary analysis
  • Intelligent Test Stations:
    1.First-generation TA-G1 – Monitors and evaluates the operating and protection status of sacrificial anode or impressed current CP systems; monitors stray current interference from urban light rail, high-voltage lines, etc.
    2.Second-generation TA-G2 – Builds on TA-G1 with hybrid wind and solar power supply and an ER corrosion rate probe to monitor pipeline corrosion rates caused by AC/DC stray currents and verify CP effectiveness.
    3.Third-generation TA-G3 – Builds on TA-G1 and TA-G2, featuring intelligent in-pipe inspection “smart pig” functionality, pipeline displacement monitoring, and stress-strain monitoring.
  • Regional (Station) Intelligent CP Technology:
    1.Remote transmission of regional (station) CP potential data, automatic CP control, and automatic CP status diagnosis and analysis
    2.Monitoring of anode ground bed operation and automatic timed water injection for resistance reduction tests
    3.Verification of high-purity zinc reference electrode effectiveness
