Tubing Connection Gas Testing
We provide helium gas seal testing services for tubing (casing) thread connections before they are run into the well. This technology is currently the most advanced leak detection method and is a key means to ensure the gas tightness of the wellbore string. It effectively solves the worldwide challenge of sustained annulus pressure in natural gas wells. At present, this technology has become a standard process in the construction of high-temperature and high-pressure gas wells, gas storage wells, CCUS wells, and energy storage wells. It features safety and reliability, high sensitivity and timeliness, and a wide range of applications.

Application Scope

Tubing (casing), pup joints, and risers from Φ48.26 mm to Φ473.1 mm.

Technical Features

  • Capable of gas seal testing under pressures up to 120 MPa, meeting high industry standards;
  • Uses quantitative helium molecular permeation rate to describe gas tightness, ensuring accuracy of test results;
  • Single-point test time is only 1.5 minutes, providing high testing efficiency;
  • Simultaneous testing of tubing (casing) couplings at both the mill-end and field-end connections, making results more authentic and reliable.

    Exclusive ownership of 9 invention patents and 25 utility model patents for Tubing Connection Gas Testing technology;
    Co-drafter of two industry standards: SY/T 6872-2012 Casing and Tubing Thread Connection Wellhead Gas Seal Testing System and SY/T 7338-2016 Field Gas Seal Testing Operating Procedures for Casing Thread Connections;
