Magnetic Flux Leakage Testing (MFL)
Magnetic Flux Leakage Testing (MFL) is a non - destructive testing technology. After magnetizing ferromagnetic materials, surface/near - surface defects cause distortion of the magnetic field lines, generating a magnetic flux leakage field signal that can be captured by sensors. By analyzing the intensity and characteristics of the signal, the size of the defects can be determined.

Application Scope

Pipeline corrosion and wall - thickness mapping, such as internal inspection of long - distance pipelines, corrosion screening of storage tank bottom plates, and detection of corrosion under insulation.
Inspection of drilling and production tools and tubular goods, such as drill pipe bodies, tubing and casing threads, and coiled tubing.
Structural monitoring of offshore platforms, such as submarine pipelines and platform jackets.
Rapid evaluation of in - service equipment, such as wall - thickness screening of valve bodies and erosion monitoring of manifold elbows.
