Eddy Current Testing (ECT)
Eddy Current Testing (ECT) is a non - destructive testing that utilizes an alternating magnetic field to induce eddy currents on the surface of conductive materials. By analyzing the impedance changes caused by the interference of defects with the eddy currents, it enables the detection of surface/near - surface defects and the evaluation of material properties.

Application Range

Inspection of tubular goods and heat exchangers
Condition monitoring of rotating equipment
Rapid screening of in - service equipment, such as corrosion in coated pipelines and micro - cracks on flange sealing surfaces
Testing of special materials and in high - temperature environments, such as austenitic stainless steel welds, high - temperature pipelines (350℃), and titanium alloy valve stems

Technical Features

  • Eddy Current Testing is a "high - speed probe" for detecting surface defects and inspecting conductive materials in the oil and gas industry.
